In 1971 the newspaper of The Revolutionary Marxist Group, The Plough Vol.1-No.1 featured a full page tribute to Peter Graham, a Communist-Republican militant and a member of the Fourth International who was assassinated in Dublin, on October 25th, 1971.
The Plough the publication of The Revolutionary Marxist Group was the Irish section of the Fourth International, was formed in 1971 by former members of the League for a Workers Republic and Young Socialists. The RMG changed its name to Movement for a Socialist Republic in 1976 and merged with Peoples Democracy in 1978. The fused group kept the name Peoples Democracy for the organisation and its publication was Socialist Republic (incorporating the PD journal Unfree Citizen).
