Belfast Republican Jimmy Roe’s Internment order document.

Jimmy Roe was arrested 20th, May 1972 and interned without trial in Cage 22 at Long Kesh concentration until July 1975. The arrest document misspell his mothers name Mrs. A Rowe, instead of Emilia Roe.

While in the Kesh he was involved during the prisoner’s protest resulting in the burning down of the prison camp on October 15th 1974. When questioned on a visit to Long Kesh ,” how long will this war continue ?.” he replied” as long as the Vietnam war.”
